The wait is finally over! The most anticipated day of the year to recycle is finally here.


On Saturday, July 22nd, ElectroRecycle, B.C.’s small appliance and power tool recycling program, will present “RecycleFest” to encourage the recycling of broken, old or unwanted small electrical appliances & power tools and celebrate keeping parks, waterways and streets clean with a free event in Trout Lake Park.

From 10:00am to 3:00pm, residents are invited to drop off any of their old or unwanted small appliances and power tools for recycling at Trout Lake Park, then to stay for a fun-filled day of activities at RecycleFest by Trout Lake Beach. The event is hosted by ElectroRecycle in partnership with the Trout Lake Youth Council, and includes all sorts of fun, free activities such as:

  • A hot dog BBQ with all proceeds going to the Trout Lake Youth Group
  • Bouncy Castle
  • Arts & Crafts
  • Photo Booth
  • Caricaturist
  • Live Music
  • Gladiator Style Inflatable Jousting
  • Local, Sustainable Vendors
  • …and more!

RecycleFest will be located right by Trout Lake Beach where you will be able to drop off your products for recycling along 19th Avenue. Please note the ElectroRecycle program does not accept electronics such as computers, televisions, cellphones or batteries.
