RecycleFest is returning to Trout Lake on July 14th!

It’s that time of year again: RecycleFest!

Check out our feature on the Global News website and Scout Magazine!

For the past three years, ElectroRecycle has organized a community celebration at Trout Lake dedicated to recycling. It’s a great chance to bring your family and friends out to enjoy the fun and games, and an even better chance to bring your broken and unwanted electrical products for recycling. We’re delighted to bring like-minded people together to celebrate the importance of sustainable living and building local connections, as well as offering an accessible way to recycle your small appliances and power tools for free right at the event!

What to expect:

We’re bringing back an exciting lineup of games, activities, and vendors to this year’s RecycleFest! Here are some of the things you can look forward to seeing:

  • Live music from artists like the Milk Crate Bandits and Steph Wall
  • Sustainable lifestyle vendors, such as: Coze Design, Soap for Hope, Sweet Legs, Londre, Soap Up!, Coast Cards, Refresh, Healthy Beginnings, Staple Goods, The Reuse It Project and more!
  • Recycling exhibitions from Free Geek and The Steam Truck
  • Bouncy castle
  • Face Painting
  • Live mural painting
  • Caricaturist
  • The Peak 102.7 live broadcast
  • $2 hot dogs and popcorn
  • Contest and prizes

Last year we worked together to make murals from recycled paint!

And of course, the main attraction of the event is the opportunity to recycle! We’ll have volunteers from the Trout Lake Youth Group on site to help you recycle your electrical products. Every year at RecycleFest, we’re blown away by the community’s support and how many recyclables you bring us. Last year, we were able to recycle two delivery trucks full of recyclables, and we’re hoping to surpass that this year!

Come and find us!

RecycleFest will be taking place on July 14th, at the east end of Trout Lake Park, from 10am to 3pm. Admission for the event is completely free. Take a look through the full list of items you can bring us to recycle to see if there’s anything you want to drop off.

Excited yet? We are! We’ll see you there!
